Congressman Jerry Moran today announced he is hosting the House Agriculture Subcommittee on General Farm Commodities and Risk Management in Kansas on June 5 to discuss the state of agriculture in Kansas. Moran is the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee.

"We are in the heart of American agriculture in Kansas," Moran said. "As we continue working on the 2007 Farm Bill, it is important for my fellow Agriculture Committee members to hear from our farmers and ranchers about the agriculture condition in Kansas."

The hearing will be Tuesday, June 5 beginning at 9:00 a.m. in Salina. The hearing will be held on the campus of K-State Salina. More details will be released prior to the hearing.
